Recap: Hours of Service Daily Drivers LogRecap Calculator app.

"Takes the pen and calculator out of figuring your recap."

For Professional Drivers. By a Professional Driver. I personallyuse it every day!

This app is for professional commercial United States driverswho are required to keep a Daily Drivers Log, or log book as it'sknown, to assist them in maintaining a current, accurate recap. This is not a log book application, it only calculates the recapsection based on the ON DUTY hours entered. Since I am not familiarwith the transportation laws in other countries, I cannot say ifRecap would be appropriate for drivers outside the USA. Canadarecently changed its HOS laws, so this free version of Recap is nolonger compatible for Canadian drivers. Thanks to Alfred E Nuemanfor pointing this out. The new apron version I am working on willfix this limitation.

Using Recap is super easy! Simply enter the ON DUTY hours (byadding lines 3 & 4 of your log book) and indicate if this dayends a 34 hour restart. Recap does the rest by calculating anddisplaying the values needed for the other three columns, 1) Totalhours on duty last 7 days, 2) Total hours available tomorrow, 3)Total hours on duty last 8 days. No more frustration trying toremember which lines to add up and which to subtract from to getyour log book recap filled in! And no more mistakes! This isespecially beneficial to new drivers!

Currently, Recap only supports the 70 hours in 8 days variationlog book. However, if there is enough interest in the 60 hours in 7days variation, it will be added.

Recap keeps the ON DUTY hours entered for the current day andthe previous 14 days. Currently, there is no support for history. If there is enough interest, it will be added.

Recap is not intended to be used on very small screen deviceswith screen resolutions below 320x480.

Please remember I cannot respond directly to comments left inthe Reviews section, so please email me at the address below forbug reports, suggestions, and other concerns. I will respond tolegitimate inquiries as soon as possible. Thanks!

Recap will initially install to internal memory, but can bemoved to SDCard from Home screen/Settings/Applications/Manageapplications/Recap.

This app is completely free, with no ads.

WarSOFT Apps
SlidePlatform Scale Calculatorby Jesse WarfordCopyright 2012 WarSOFT AppsAll rights reservedSlide is a special purpose calculator used to assistprofessionaltruck drivers in: 1) calculating their axle weightswhen weighingon a platform scale; 2) logging these weights, alongwithprecalculated weights such as cat scale weights, with thetrailernumber and location for future reference; 3) guestimatingtheirapproximate axle weights based on their suspension airguagereading; 4) and the slide calculator which simulates slidingoftrailer axles and the adjustments can be seen immediately. As of this time, only the axle weight calculator isfunctional. The weight logging system, air scaling, and slidecalculator willbe added in future updates.Always remember to weight on scales with your breaksreleased(the air brake knobs on the dash pushed in and not pushingthebrake pedal down) if at all possible!Slide is a freeform calculator, in that the axleweightcombinations may be entered in any sequence desired. Slidedoes notrestrict the driver to steer weight first, then steer anddrive, then gross weight, because not all platform scales aresetupefficiently for "drive on" weighing, and different drivershavedifferent preferences. Personally, my preference is "driveoff"weighing, because each weight taken is centered on thescale, whereas "drive on" weighing the steer weight, the weight isall atone end of the scale, and uses only 2 weight points fullyinsteadof all 4. Some would argue "drive off" weighing is a tinybit moreaccurate. The "half and half" weighing may also be used, where thefirst weight is steers and drives, the second is grossweight, andthe third weight is drives and trailer. "Half and half"is probablythe most accurate, because at the first and last weight, theaxle(s) not on the scale are barely off the scale, often stillonthe scales concrete base, instead of being down the incline, whichmakes the calculated weights less accurate because of thenon-levelweight distribution.Credit and gratitude goes to the following:- My wife Susan for lovingly allowing me the time to completemyprojects- Erel Uziel of Anywhere Software for his incredibledevelopmentsystem- Andrew Graham for BasicLibIde and other code libraries- and the online support community.Powered by B4Script...Keywords: truck, semi truck, truck driver, professionaldriver, catscale, scale, axle weight, weight calculator, platformscale, weighstation
