Shikarpur , شكار پور‎ , is small city andthecapital of Shikarpur District in Sindh province of Pakistan. Itissituated about 29 km west of the right bank of the Indus,witha railway station, 37 km north-west of Sukkur.Shikarpur, the seat of civilization, culture, trade andcommerceacquired political and economic importance because of itsstrategiclocation on the map of Sindh, being directly accessible tothosewho came from Central and West Asia through the Bolan Pass.
