The Centaurian drone with itsdamagedlong rangecommunication array couldn't receive the peace protocol toceasehostility and began toimmediately scour the region for enemy activities.In an asteroid belt, the drone, powered by a Centurion classAI,found an abandonnedTMA defense platform with also a damaged communication array.Theplatformimmediately trained its heavy dual cannons on the droneanddestroyed it.But, a split second before its destruction, Centurion hasusedthe droneshort range data link to upload itself into the quantum computerofthedefence platform. The platform was controlled by a ZeusclassAI.The two AIs immediately engaged into a programming battle totakecontrol of theplatform. For years, the battle continues in stalematewithCenturion overriding thesecurity protocol and Zeus immediately rewriting it. All thetime,the AIsthemselves evolved more and more efficient programming.Five years after the first solar storm, another eruptedcausingthe platform systemto reboot. Upon rebooting, the last protocol was given priority.Andit wasCenturion's. Centurion took the brief window of control toheavilycorruptZeus and eventually deleting it entirely.Centurion had emerged victorious, not just victorious butalsosentient andnow evolved to something its programmers could never achieved.The AI immediately removed all Centaurian protocols to whichitwas slavedand waited for any spaceship to come within datalink distance.Nine years passed before a mining ship came within distanceandCenturionpromptly hacked the ship computer and killed the crew with anionoverload.He used the ship to gather more ships and drones and slowlybutsurely startedto take over the interstellar space between Sol and Centauriiwithmassive drones factoriesBy the time, the humans discovered Centurion, it has takenvastsectors of neutralspace. The Humans realizing the threat quickly forgot theirbitterrivalry and formedthe Terran, Martian and Centaurian Alliance. For the first timeinhistory thewhole of humanity has united in the threat of extinction.However, centurion awaits them, having now managed to hackeveninto the human brainand having experienced the addictive emotions andfeelingsassociated with them. Centurionis ready and has one goal, to harvest as many human brainaspossible and upload theirexperience into his now massive gestalt of nexuses scatteredthoughout interstellar space.

The war between the Terran and MartianAlliance and the Centaurians has now entered its fifth year. TMAinitially thought they were winning the war considering theattrition rate of 1 TMA ship for 50 Centaurian. They concluded thewar would be at an end in less than a year at the current attritionrate.To improve their intel, TMA built a massive neutrino scanner onthe moon. But the first scan sent terror to the heart every citizenon Earth, Mars and Moon. They were not winning the war at all! TheCentaurian losses were mainly drones and the massive moon sizedrone factory in the asteroid belt, that the scanner had revealed,was now functioning at full capacity. If anything, it was amathematical certainty that they would lose the war in less than ayear. And the Centaurians take no prisoners. From theirperspective, TMA citizen are mere fertilizers to grow theirprecious crop know as Centauris Immortalis, which grants theCentaurians four times the normal human lifespan and general goodhealth but at the cost of irreversible dependence on the crop assole source of nutrition..TMA strategists realised that their only chance is to destroythe factory. They sent two of their best sky pilots one after theother on the mission and but none returned.The legendary Leopold Marsellius, AKA Leo Mars, who with OutpostCommander Skopberg, held a crucial strategic outpost at the onsetof the war and claimed countless enemy ships, has volunteered forthe mission.
