Description

Game Updated. New boss added-- the Snake,anandroid with a power claw carrying three other androidsequippedwith lasers. The idea is to add as many bosses as possibleso thatthe boss at the end of each sector will rarely be the same.

Introduction:

Interstellar Arena is the space shooter where you control uptothree ships (more coming) from the Terran, Martian andCentaurianAlliance against the rogue Centaurian AI known asCenturion.

In this game you face 6 bosses (more will be added every week)atthe end of each sector and countless low level drones anddefencesin a never ending war.
The Three main ships are the Shrike, a light fast gunshipthatexcels in dogfights;the Drone carrier which as the namestakescarries drones; and the hard hitting Terra ClassDestroyer,specialist at laying siege to the enemy beyond visualrange. Eachship has a wide range of upgradeable weapons and modulesdesignedfor specific tasks. As you unlocked more achievements newweaponsupgrades and modules are available as well as up tofourSpacebats.

Story:

Twelve years after the peace treaty that ended the warbetweenthe
Terran-Martian Alliance and the Centaurians (see Spacefront),aheavily damaged spy drone
was awakened by a solar storm. The Centaurian drone with itsdamagedlong range
communication array couldn't receive the peace protocol toceasehostility and began to
immediately scour the region for enemy activities.

In an asteroid belt, the drone, powered by a Centurion classAI,found an abandonned
TMA defense platform with also a damaged communication array.Theplatform
immediately trained its heavy dual cannons on the droneanddestroyed it.

But, a split second before its destruction, Centurion hasusedthe drone
short range data link to upload itself into the quantum computerofthe
defence platform. The platform was controlled by a ZeusclassAI.
The two AIs immediately engaged into a programming battle totakecontrol of the
platform. For years, the battle continues in stalematewithCenturion overriding the
security protocol and Zeus immediately rewriting it. All thetime,the AIs
themselves evolved more and more efficient programming.

Five years after the first solar storm, another eruptedcausingthe platform system
to reboot. Upon rebooting, the last protocol was given priority.Andit was
Centurion's. Centurion took the brief window of control toheavilycorrupt
Zeus and eventually deleting it entirely.

Centurion had emerged victorious, not just victorious butalsosentient and
now evolved to something its programmers could never achieved.

The AI immediately removed all Centaurian protocols to whichitwas slaved
and waited for any spaceship to come within datalink distance.

Nine years passed before a mining ship came within distanceandCenturion
promptly hacked the ship computer and killed the crew with anionoverload.
He used the ship to gather more ships and drones and slowlybutsurely started
to take over the interstellar space between Sol and Centauriiwithmassive drones factories

By the time, the humans discovered Centurion, it has takenvastsectors of neutral
space. The Humans realizing the threat quickly forgot theirbitterrivalry and formed
the Terran, Martian and Centaurian Alliance. For the first timeinhistory the
whole of humanity has united in the threat of extinction.

However, centurion awaits them, having now managed to hackeveninto the human brain
and having experienced the addictive emotions andfeelingsassociated with them. Centurion
is ready and has one goal, to harvest as many human brainaspossible and upload their
experience into his now massive gestalt of nexuses scatteredthoughout interstellar space.
