With it's first release on July 16, 2014 FingerSecurity is thefirstapp that allows owners of an Android device with afingerprintsensor to protect their apps with their fingerprints.FingerSecurityallows you to protect any app with your fingerprint.FingerSecurityhas many options to make your life easier and moresecure. - Protectany app with your fingerprint - Widget for fastenabling/disabling -Set timeouts to allow a short switch betweenapps - Unlock multipleapps at ones - Use your alternative passwordor pin code to unlockapps when your fingerprint is not recognized- FingerSecurity can’tbe uninstalled or killed - Automaticallyprotect new apps - Use yourfavorite image as background - Use fakecrash dialog - Automaticallyunlock your apps at specific locations- Only allow specificpeople(fingerprints) to unlock an app -Protect notifications ofprotected apps - Detect intruders bytaking a picture of them Thisapp uses the Device Administratorpermission, as an opt-in option,to prevent the app from beinguninstalled. ***FAQ*** - Why is mydevice not supported?FingerSecurity will only work on Androiddevices with a fingerprintsensor. Even when your device has afingerprint sensor it is stillpossible that your device is notsupported due to limitations ofthe device. - A notification isasking for a backup password. Whatshould I do? This is a securityfeature from the system(it is not apart of FingerSecurity but fromSamsung’s firmware). When you scanyour fingerprint too many timeswithout identification then thesystem will block the sensor and askfor your backup password. Thebackup password was specified duringthe registration of yourfingerprints(this might not be the same asyour alternativepassword for FingerSecurity). You have to enteryour backuppassword else you can’t use the fingerprint sensor. - Ican’tremember my backup password. Unfortunately there is no way toresetthe backup password when the sensor is blocked by the system.Theonly solution is performing a hard reset. - FingerSecurity usesalot of battery after updating. Please restart your device.ThenFingerSecurity will work normal again and the battery usagewilldrop.
