Bengaluru Auto Fare is an application forBengaluru (Karnataka, India) based auto travelers to use duringtheir travel in an Auto rickshaw to calculate travel fares. Travelfares are calculated based on the latest rates published by theGovernment of Karnataka, India. This app calculates the traveleddistance based on GPS location, thus helping passenger from beinglooted by faulty or rigged meters of auto rickshaw.This application can track the exact route taken by auto driver,find the pickup & drop address, calculate Day Fare and NightFare. You can view past journeys in History tab.Requirements:1. Mobile should have GPS feature2. Active Internet connectionFeatures:1. Easy tabbed interface2. On clicking Start Journey, it will clearly pin point your exactlocation on map.3. If there is no Network access, passenger can at least verify ifthe auto meter charge is correct or not by entering the distancetravelled.4. On clicking Stop Journey, it will show up a summary page whichwill clearly tell how much distance was travelled and how muchpassenger has to pay auto driver.5. All the journey logs are maintained for passenger's futurereference.6. Helpline numbers are also mentioned in case of anyemergency.How to use:1. If there is no network access, then passenger can at leastfind out the fares by entering the distance traveled shown in autometer.2. If there is good network access, passenger should enter aJourney ID and click "Start Tracking" button. This will gain a GPSlock and display a Map with a Marker which is the pickup location.During the course of journey a Green marker will keep gettingdisplayed on Map. This Green marker shows your current locationwhile you are on the move.3. At the end of your journey click on "Stop Tracking". This willbring up a "Summary" page which will tell you the distancetraveled, Day Fare and Night Fare.4. At any point in time if you would like to refer to your previousjourney click on any listing present in "History" Page. It isadvised to mention a meaningful name in Journey ID before clicking"Start Tracking". This way it will be easy to access your logs infuture.5. That's it. I am taking this app down because Iaccidentally deleted the google API KEY . As a result, this APPwill not work anymore.I have published same app with few modifications - BENGALURUAUTO FARE 2.0 – com.nammabengaluru.bafI am very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this. You mayhave to uninstall this and install the new version.
