القاموس المحيط للإمام اللغوي مجد الدين أبيطاهرمحمد بن يعقوب بن محمد بن إبراهيم بن عمر الشيرازي الفيروزآباديالمتوفى سنة (817 هـ). واسم الكتاب بالكامل (القاموس المحيط،والقابوسالوسيط، الجامع لما ذهب من كلام العرب شماطيط). وهو أشهرمعاجم اللغةالعربية على الإطلاق، إذ بلغ من شهرته أن كثيرا من الناسبعده صاروايستعملون كلمة قاموس مرادفة لكلمة معجم.
