Description

Wine Value Ratings integrates the price of abottle of wine and its ratings from your favorite critics toestablish its "WVR" number. Think of this number the same way youwould a golf score; the lower, the better! With this powerfulsorting and searching tool, you can now change the way you shop forwine by knowing you are finding the best value given its price andquality.

Here’s how it works… if a critic gave 95 point ratings each to a$100 Cabernet and a $300 Cabernet, it is intuitive the $100 bottleis a better value. But what happens when you have 10 differentbottles to choose from …50 …100 or more … all at different pricesand with different critic ratings? The application does the mathbased on the search criteria the user inputs, which can be as broadas simply “Red Wine” or as narrow as Pinot Noirs from the Burgundyregion of France, with vintages ranging from 1995 to 2010, with aminimum rating of 90 points, at a price of no more than $100. Theend result is a Wine Value Rating for each wine returned in thesearch. The WVR is essentially the cost paid for one point of acritic’s rating.
