The information in Whaleguide app is the result of research inscientific literature making it up to date and reliable. However,the text is easy to understand for everyone, without any previousknowledge (also suitable for schools). You will quickly become anexpert with this self-educating app. The app describes 68 speciesof whales and dolphins in an entertaining way and contains as muchinformation as a good book, but has much more to offer.

For each species you will find a quick ID and a completedescription, information about behaviour, diving behaviour, diet,reproduction, possible hot spots, interesting facts, popular names,key facts, information about the taxonomy, the scientific name anddistribution, including GPS based distribution.

In "Whale Watchers World" around 1,100 Hot Spots (around 700 areland-based) in around 90 countries are highlighted. The app informswhich cetacean species may be seen, where, at which time and how.You will find around 1,400 active links to websites of whale anddolphin watching operators (as well as of cetacean research andconservation organizations plus tourism information). In additionyou will find important information about the code of conduct,selecting your equipment and responsible operators, as well asphotography hints.

Whaleguide app contains more than 500 spectacular photos of whalesand dolphins and 68 comparative size drawings. On the basis of afew details that are visible from boat (or from land) and using theGPS function, the interactive "Finder" helps you to easilydistinguish between the 68 species the ones you just spotted.Alternatively, when planning your next trip, you can find out inadvance which whales and dolphins you may encounter at yourdestination. Whaleguide app can also be used offline (except forGPS based functions).

In addition there are more than 400 extra photos and more than 60spectacular video clips available as an upgrade (in-app buy). Inthe video clips you will be able to watch the fascinating behaviourof whales and dolphins and listen to their impressive voices.
