In this app you will find over 270 military camping locationsacross the lower 48 United States. The source of the data is the USMilitary Campgrounds and RV Parks and is used with the permissionof the site’s owner, Larry Farquhar. This source is widelyacknowledged as the most comprehensive single source for militarycampground information. Please note that in general these militarycampgrounds are intended to be used only by people connected withthe military, mainly active duty, reserve and retired members. Atsome locations DOD civilian workers are allowed, as are 100%disabled veterans; those determinations are made by local basecommanders. A few are open to the public and are noted in our data.This app does require internet access to work properly. Thecampground data is on your device as part of the app, but the mapis loaded from the internet. When first opened, the app will becentered on your current location. From there you can scroll themap to view campgrounds in other areas or you can enter a city orlatitude/longitude into the Search box and jump to that location.To get back to your current location, just tap the Locator icon.Campground icons are color-coded according to the service branch“ownership” of that facility and also include an abbreviation, thusmaking it easy to pick out each type on the map. We also have addedthe ability to review campgrounds and submit photos. Tapping on acampground icon will result in a pop-up balloon with all the infoavailable for that location. Within the balloon is a button thatallows you add that location to a Favorites list. The Favoriteslist organizes your saved locations by state and type and includesbuttons for calling the campground and going to its website. Thereis also a new feature of Reviews and Ratings for each campgroundthat will help you find that perfect camping spot. The app providesoutstanding information to users for their next camping excursion.The data itself is updated every month with new locations andcorrections and additions to existing locations. The Play Storewill automatically update your app with the new data.
