Sukhmani Sahib Ji


Sukhmani Sahib is the title given to the Gurbani in raga GauriSukhmani in the
Guru Granth Sahib which in turn appears in the major musicalmeasure Raga
Gauri to which it belongs. It is written by Guru Arjan Dev, thefifth Sikh Guru.

Sukhmani Sahib comprises twenty-four Astpadis , each comprisingof eight
Pauris. A salok precedes each Astpadi. Also each Pauri consists of5 salok
(couplet) consisting of 10 Tuks (lines).

Sukhmani Sahib is the title given to the Gurbani in raga GauriSukhmani in the
Guru Granth Sahib which in turn appears in the major musicalmeasure Raga
Gauri to which it belongs. It is written by Guru Arjan Dev, thefifth Sikh Guru.
