Description

The Space Travel Agency is a demo app forstudents enrolling in one of AT Computing's Android courses.
During the courses students will create the Space Travel Agency appstep-by-step. To give them an idea of what they are building weuploaded a full version of the app.

Currently AT Computing offers two Android courses:

Android Development Fundamentals. During this course a basicversion of the Space Travel Agency app is created. You will learnto use multiple activities, fragments, widgets, listviews,adapters, dialogs, databases, content providers, multiple threads,localization and internationalization framework, and handle deviceconfiguration changes and keeping state. During the course we willfocus on how to use a responsive design approach for developingyour app. The version created during the fundamentals course allowsthe user to select multiple destinations, invite a friend fromtheir contacts, and checkout the journey.

Android Development Advanced. Continues where the AndroidDevelopment Fundamentals course stopped. The Space Travel Agencyapp is expanded to allow the user to book the journey on a HTTPserver and take pictures. You will learn to use the action bar,google support library, settings framework, notification framework,device sensors, 3rd party apps, apply animations, use HTTPservices, create broadcast receivers, and use maps andlocation-based services.

The Space Travel Agency is released under GPL version 3.
