SHARPcan beused both as a monitoring and evaluation tool, as well asalearning method integrated into agropastoral/ farmer fieldschoolstraining curricula. The tool provides immediate results(offline)on the tablets in the field and offers the possibility toanalyseresults online in more detail. Data can be disaggregatedbased ongender, production practice type, age group; comparisonscan bemade across households, within communities, regionsandcountries.The tool was developed starting in mid 2013 by FAO and partnersandhas been tested or piloted in 8 sub-Saharan Africancountries(Angola, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, South Sudan, Uganda,Zambia,Zimbabwe).
