Players from the two teams sitalternatingaround in a circle. Players take turns as the "giver,"who make hisor her teammates guess as many words as possible in thegiven time.However, each card also has "taboo" (forbidden) wordslisted whichmay not be spoken. If giver speaks one of taboo words,that word isconsidered "failed" and the giver must move on to thenext word.For example, the giver might have to get his or her teamto guessthe word "baseball" without offering the words "sport","game","pastime", "hitter", "pitcher", or "baseball" itself asclues. Thegiver may not say a part of a "taboo" word; for example,using"base" in "baseball" is taboo.
