It is loosely based on Cisco's VoiceCodecBandwidth Calculator found on their website.On the main screen use the spinners to select the codec,bitrate,payload size and any VPN overhead and the app willcalculate theamount of bandwidth needed for a voice over IP call.Fill in thenumber of expected users and it will also calculate thetotalbandwidth required using the given settings.There are checkboxes for enable cRTP (+Checksum) and to addanadditional 5% overhead.Sliding the small arrow at the bottom up will reveal more infoonthe settings used in the calculations.Flick the screen from right to left and the app willcalculatethe number of calls available on certain popular circuitrates withthe given settings.On this screen you can also enter a custom circuit rate byenteringyou chosen value in the text field and hitting the "ReCalc"button.The list will be recalculated with you custom circuit atthetop.Finally the Converged checkbox will only allow calls to use33%of a given circuit speed for when you are interested in how muchacircuit can provide in a converged network.
