Terry Rountree began "smoking butts" in2000,as he began coordinating large events for his previousemployer.This gave him the "taste" of what it was like to meettheexpectations of a hungry crowd.He then began catering from his home/mobile unit andbusinessgrew making him aware that he needed a cateringbuilding/location.Upon moving into the new location, he had manyrequests fromcustomers asking to "eat-in." Thus, the small locationwas openedon a very limited basis. In the beginning phase of thesmallrestaurant, family often assisted too! With "Coach" Lambwashingdishes in the back!As the customer base grew, the hours of operation increased andthebuilding was expanded. And, new employees were added tothe"TREE"mendous family! The polka dot pig, BarBie Q became morewellknown and loved! At this point, a trademark/brand wasborn...yes,"TREE"mendous (where the polka dot pig lives and where"we cansmoke yur butt") was growing!In late 2009, a second location was added in Middleburg. Thiswasa partnership and later sold; this location is no longeraffiliatedwith "TREE"mendous BBQ. During this time, TREEmendousBBQ expandedto a third location, located in the small Baldwincommunity.Terry continues to take great pride in offering fresh, homemadefood at both locations.
