Irriga System® provides anirrigationmanagement service by recommending the water depth to beapplied oneach cropped field during the entire crop season. Thecriteria forwhen to irrigate and how much water to apply are basedon thespecific crop agronomic parameters, soil characteristics,weatherconditions (measured and forecasted) and irrigationsystem.When following the system recommendations, the grower increasescropand water productivity, saves water and energy, andsignificantlycontributes to an environmental sustainability. Also,ourrecommendations reduce the risk of yield losses due to waterstressor excess, while being very practical to operate and requireminimalinterference of the grower in the configuration oroperation of thesystem.Throughout the crop season our technical field staff makesperiodicvisits to all growers and fields (every 10-14 days). Ourteamclosely follows the grower during the entire irrigationperiod,participating directly and exclusively in theirrigationmanagement. The team possesses adequate knowledge of alltheprocesses involving the use of all Irriga Systemrecommendations,from data collection, survey and analysis of alloperationrequirements (e.g. soil information, climatic data, cropparametersand irrigation system), to irrigation planningandmanagement.During the field visit, a report is made containing theinformationcollected on-site by our field staff. Field reports areconstantlyuploaded to the Irriga System's website and madeavailable onlineto growers.The growers or the contracting company receive a weekly reportviaemail and website with a summary for each grower and fieldundermanagement. This report contains the total recommendedirrigationdepth and dates, rainfall amounts and dates, water use ofthe last7, 10 and 15 days, soil water content, plant height,plantphenologic stage and field photos.Sustainable water use is very important for our society. Farmersandagricultural enterprises strive to improve yield with lesscosts. Aproper irrigation management allows to increaseproductivity withconscious use of natural resources.Sustainability is in the heartof Irriga System's services. In theregions where Irriga Systemoperates, we estimate green water usageby measuring the rainfalladjusted to the size of the managedfields. Blue water is calculatedwith the aggregate sum of all theirrigation depth recommended byour System.
