“Bets and Strokes” is a golf score and game tracking app forAndroiddevices.

This app will allow the user to keep score for up to 4 playersingolf. It will keep track of the number of strokes for each holeforevery player. It allows the user to view the scoreboardwithcurrent scores and gives the user the ability to share and savethescores. It also has a camera button to allow the user aquickaccess to the camera. It has google maps integrated to showplayerlocation and allow the user to set markers for their nextshotswhich show the distance from the current location. It willpointthe map in the direction the user is standing and rotate themap asthe user moves. In order for the compass to be accurate, itmust becalibrated. There's a menu option on the map screen whichshows howto calibrate the compass. Once the map is open, hold thephone andmove your hand in a figure 8 motion. The compass will becalibratedand the direction you turn will be accurately shown onthe map.Enabling GPS at startup will give you a better locationanddistance to markers. Clicking on the Player buttons will allowyouto enter a player name. Clicking on the Score button willdisplaythe scorecard for all players. The user will have theability tosave the score. The game will be saved to internalstorage. Theuser will also have the ability to share the score byselecting theshare icon in the action bar. The user is able toshare the scorewith apps installed on their phone. To share withFacebook, thescore is copied to the clipboard. The user will needto paste thecontents in the status of the Facebook dialog. From themainscreen, a user is able to load previous games by selectingLoadScores from the menu. The previous scores are loaded anddisplayedas a list. Selecting a game will display the scoringdetails fromthat game. Long-Click on the score to delete the score.To deleteall the scores, select Delete All Scores from the menu.Clicking onthe New button will reset all the values. Clicking onthe GoogleMaps Icon opens google maps. Once the map is open, a usercan addMarkers by performing a long-click at the location theydesire. Aline will be drawn from their current location to themarker whichincludes distance. The user can clear the markers byclicking onthe Clear Markers button. The menu on the map will allowthe userto change units of measurement between yards and meters.Clickingon the Camera Icon enables the camera for the user to takepicturesThe << and the >> buttons allows the user to goto thenext or previous holes. Return to the previous screen byclickingthe Back button.
