This app is meant to assist in trackingthegame state and resource generation. Most of the time we don'twantto be bothered with dice rolls and just want to know whichresourcegot generated. Once you set up the board as directed bythis appand set the number tiles accordingly, this app will helpyou taketurns and keep track of resource generation.Another reason I developed this app was because of thefrequentcomplaint I heard about unfair dice rolls. The thing isthat peoplesetup their initial houses according to some expectationofresource generation probability based on the number on thehexes.The problem with that approach is that we do not take enoughturnsfor the probabilities to play out as expected. To mitigatethisissue, this app allows for a twist in how resources aregenerated.Each player turn now comprises of many dice rolls insteadof one.Suppose we set the number of dice rolls to 100 per turn.Then, eachone of the hundred dice rolls in the corresponding turnwillgenerate one hundredth of the corresponding resource. Youcanimagine that each resource has a bucket which is filling upslowlywhenever the dice roll shows up the corresponding number.Wheneverthe bucket gets full, the resource is generated. It mighttakemultiple consecutive turns for the bucket to get full foraresource. It is easy to see that resources with numbes such as 8or6 will fill up far more quickly and frequently than those with 2or11. The trivial case is a single dice roll per turn(which isthedefault game mode) and it generates the entireresourcecorresponding to the dice roll(the bucket fills up in oneshot).Rolling the dice multiple times allows for the diceprobabilitiesto play out as expected.Try it out and let me know how you like this twist.
