Once technological progress has broughtyou into thespace age, you may launch a spacecraft and the firstcivilizationwhose launch it wins. Because of the game istime-based, the gamewill end after four weeks (if no spacecrafthave yet been launched),the surviving civilizations are thenrated, and the one with thehighest overall score is the winner.The game is derived from theFreeCiv but it was devised to supporttime-based instead ofturn-based strategy; and it is supports theMMO gameplay where youcompete against hundreds and sometimesthousands opponents to foundcities and use them to support amilitary, and finally to completean empire that survives allencounters with its neighbors to emergevictorious. Each opponentis human player, not controlled by thecomputer! Though the game isplayed in time and through weeks, atthe beginning of each unitsare assigned movement time, which arespent as they move and act.Using up the movement time early mayleave a unit without theability to respond if an opponentapproaches later. The unitscannot carry extra movement time intothe next hours or days, everyunits has a limit of accumulation oftime. All players begin withsix units on a small continent: twoExplorer, one Warriors, oneWorkers and two Settlers unit -- andrace to expand outward fromthose humble beginnings. Most of yourmap will be blank when thegame begins, your units travel anddiscover the oceans andcontinents of the world. Note that your mapis only the record ofthe terrain and cities your last encounteredin an area -- you willnot learn about changes in an area until yourunits visit again,nor can you observe the movement of enemy unitsthat are out ofsight of your units and cities.
