Important note: This app will be gradually scaled down by Dec 30th,2021. End of the research & development project Through thedevelopment of the Berlin Connect App, we were able to gain manyinsights. We will continue to analyze these and incorporate theminto other projects. The pilot project will thus end as planned atthe end of the year and the app will be discontinued on December30, 2021. S-Bahn Berlin Connect App All mobility offersin one app. The S-Bahn Berlin Connect-App connects the entirepublic transport network in Berlin and Brandenburg with theofferings of sharing service providers. Buy your public transportticket in the app and receive information about possibledisruptions and delays on the subscribed route ahead of yourjourney. The S-Bahn Berlin Connect-App offers you all this: Routeinformation – Travel conveniently from A to B With the help ofdetailed public transport timetables and route descriptions, youcan easily find the most attractive connections in Berlin andBrandenburg. The detailed view provides relevant information onroutes, changes and departure times in real-time. By entering viastations, you can also easily define intermediate stops on yourjourney. Ticketing – Always book the right fare The S-Bahn BerlinConnect-App offers the appropriate electronic tickets for the VBBregion for every route in local transport. Always buy the right VBBticket for your fare zone directly in the app. No matter whetheryou use S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram, bus, ferry or regional train: Whenyou are asked to present your ticket, show the electronic publictransport ticket in the app. You pay comfortably and contactlesswith PayPal or SEPA direct debit. Multimodality – Public transportconnected with sharing providers The app connects the entire Berlinpublic transport network with the offerings of sharing providers.In a central route overview, the app shows the best route withlocal public transport in the VBB region. It enriches the offeringwith alternatives from local sharing providers if they bringbenefit to the users. Integrated mobility services: • All localpublic transport services in Berlin and Brandenburg (VBB tariffzones A, B and C) • Car sharing (cars from SHARE NOW, SIXT shareand MILES) • Scooter sharing (electric scooter from emmy) •Bike-sharing (bicycles from Call-a-Bike) • E-Scooter-Sharing(e-scooters from Voi) The offers of mobility sharing providers canbe booked with a simple click via the app of the sharing provider.Route subscription – Information in the event of disruptions anddelays Routes that are used regularly with public transportservices can be subscribed. The S-Bahn Berlin Connect-App providesinformation about possible disruptions and delays on the preferredroute on short-term before the start of the journey.
