RaMBLE is a proof of concept application for detecting, logging andmapping Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices such as iBeacons andfitness trackers. We builtRaMBLE to show how easily BLE devices can be detected, identifiedand tracked; It highlights the privacy concerns with somemanufacturers' implementation of BLE. The scanner runs in thebackground and logs all indirect advertising packets and scanresponses received from BLE devices in range. All data is loggedinto a database that can be exported to the SD card, or importedfrom an existing database file. It does not connect to any devicesfound, nor does it share any data with anyone. It requires a phoneor tablet that supports Bluetooth Low Energy, aka Bluetooth Smart.It also requires Android 5.0 or higher.
