This starts out as a standard Periodic Tableof the Elements, but becomes much more. With a tap of a button theentire chart becomes color-coded to clearly demonstrate how variouschemical properties are distributed across all the elements. Notjust the family and metal or non-metal, but state (gas, liquid orsolid), electronegativity, radioactivity and more. In addition aslider allows you to see the states and a temperature you select,and even choose a year to see what elements had been discovered atthat point in time.
A simplified electron shell diagram helps students see how theelectron configuration affects what family an element belongsto.
A 'details' screen includes information a chemistry student needs,along with a brief explanation of the name, symbol, and family -typically the items young students are most curious about.
