Our story began in 1973 when asingle man,our late Founder Mr Samir Saade, started this longongoing journeywith a single tanker, armed with an iron will towork and achievesuccess. The young Samir began deliveringrelentlessly gas oil andunleaded gasoline to local companies,houses, restaurants underMobil Company (named Al Wardiyeh today),laying the foundation fora marvelous success story which will becarried out by no otherthan his own son Mr Georges Saade, Chairmanof Wookood Petroleum.After starting his own business under the nameof “Samir SaadeTransportation”, Samir was known by all for hiscredibility andstrong commitment, and that he was one of the veryfewstrong-willed heroes who delivered gas oil and gasoline forourpeople in the mountains, defying snowstorms & blizzards.Theunfortunate civil war atrocities didn’t stop Samir eitherfromgetting his job done. So he continued, despite allthelife-threatening dangers, to deliver this vital substancetoanywhere he was called to do so, on the Lebanese territories,fromup north and all the way down south. This legacy of hard workandachieving against all odds, was passed and installedalmostinherently in his boy’s spirit and mind. As Georges, aged 9backthen, accompanied his father in his business tours,ridingalongside him the tankers, he learned bit by bit the waysofdriving these colossal vehicles and discovered the keys tosuccessin this tough but rewarding job. And when he was old enoughhisfather welcomed him as a co-worker and later as a worthysuccessor,so Mr Georges Saade began his career from the very bottomof theladder, starting in the mid-nineties by acquiring a secondtankerand founding in 2002 a new company called “Al-Wookood”whichconsisted of a small managing office in Haret Sakher-Jouniehand 3employees who grew today to include almost more than 100staffmembers, along with a bigger fleet of 12 tankers covering alltheLebanese regions. The year 2005 was a turning point, “AlWookood”became “Wookood Petroleum” and it founded its first gasstation inHaret Sakher, while simultaneously working on biggerwarehousing toprovide products for wholesale that are under thesupervision ofthe Ministry of Energy and Water. The company'sbusiness networksubsequently expanded to establish the second gasstation onHarissa Highway in 2010, then Jbeil station followed in2015 andafter it came the Mansourieh branch in 2017. WookoodPetroleum’srelatively fast growth and efficient management caughtthe eye of aWorldwide Giant of the oil and gas industry, namely“Total” who sawin collaborating with us a great opportunity ofexpansion inLebanon. So Total signed two contracts of cooperationwith WookoodPetroleum, the first in 2017 and the second in 2018,whichconsisted in selling its products in both Mansourieh andHarissaHighway stations while staying under the latter’smanagement.Wookood now has more than 3000 loyal clients andnumerous companiesreceiving our paramount services and supremequality. As we believein continuity and strong family ties, thebusiness is now in thesafe hands of the chairman Mr Georges Saade& his dedicated andexperimented managing team, notably the COOMr Joseph Saade and theCFO Mr Rony Daou, together they form astrong-minded unit walkingin the footsteps of those who paved theway for them.

PROPRE was founded by the late Mr. Fouad Kassis in 1991. Hewasahead of his time in his thinking as he believed in theimportanceof prevention and health maintenance as opposed totreatment. A newculture of medication in Lebanon was started withPROPRE Droguerie.Kassis had a vision to bring to Lebanon the finestbrands ofmedical supplements from the world’s finest manufacturingcountriesin that field. Currently, his son, Mr. George Kassis iscarryingover his father's vision which is the stepping stone forfurtherventures into the field. A lot of business and innovationskillshave been adopted in taking the already well-establishedcompany toan even higher level in the Lebanese market and intothesurrounding region.
