The free Interactive Constitution app presents the full text of theU.S. Constitution and features essays by leading scholars thatdetail areas of agreement and disagreement across a range ofphilosophical and legal perspectives. Created by the NationalConstitution Center in partnership with the American ConstitutionSociety and the Federalist Society, this nonpartisan resource isfeatured by the College Board in its Advanced Placement history andgovernment courses. The Interactive Constitution was made possibleby a grant from the John Templeton Foundation. To use theInteractive Constitution, just hit the "Explore It" button on itsopening screen. Then you can: Select the "Articles" and"Amendments" tabs on the next screen to read the part of theConstitution that interests you. For the first 15 Amendments, youcan read the annotated text of each amendment, along with "CommonInterpretations" - joint statements by leading scholars detailingareas of agreement - and "Matters of Debate," individual statementsby those same scholars detailing discussing areas of disagreement,along with the annotated text of each amendment. For Amendments16-27, you can read the full annotated text, plus interpretationsfrom the Annenberg Classroom, a national leader in resources forcivic education. For the Articles I-VII of the U.S. Constitution,you can read the full text of each article by sections, withannotations from some of the nation’s leading scholars and from theAnnenberg Classroom. The "About The Constitution" section containsa series of white papers that provide overarching background on theConstitution, its history, and how it should be interpreted andapplied.
