The Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN has been traditionallyconducted as a biennial event in Andaman and Nicobar group ofIslands since 1995. The first edition of MILAN saw theparticipation of four countries. Since then, the event has grownmanifold and has gained in popularity, with a total of 17 countriesparticipating in the previous edition of MILAN in 2018 This year,the Indian Navy has decided to enhance the scope of the exerciseand also allow for more number of countries to participate in theexercise and therefore it has been decided to conduct this event atVisakhapatnam in Mar 2022.
