Description

تعلم القرآن على يد جده من جهة أمه عبد الرحمنبنسليمان الدامغ ثم تعلم الكتابة وشيئاً من الأدب والحساب والتحقبإحدىالمدارس وحفظ القرآن عن ظهر قلب في سن مبكرة، وكذا مختصراتالمتون فيالحديث والفقه. كان عبد الرحمن بن ناصر السعدي قد رتب منطلبته الكبارلتدريس المبتدئين من الطلبة وكان منهم محمد بن عبدالعزيز المطوع فانضمإليه العثيمين.
بعد دراسة التوحيد والفقه والنحو جلس في حلقة عبد الرحمن بنناصرالسعدي فدرس عليه في التفسير والحديث والتوحيد والفقه وأصولهوالفرائضوالنحو.
يعتبر عبد الرحمن السعدي مرجعه الأول الذي تأثر بمنهجه وتأصيلهواتباعهللدليل وطريقة تدريسه.
قرأ على عبد الرحمن بن علي بن عودان في علم الفرائض حال ولايتهالقضاءفي عنيزة وقرأ على عبد الرزاق عفيفي في النحو والبلاغة أثناءوجوده فيعنيزة ولما فتح المعهد العلمي بالرياض التحق به في 1372 هـوانتظم فيالدراسة سنتين انتفع فيهما بالعلماء الذين كانوا يدرسون فيالمعهدحينذاك ومنهم محمد الأمين الشنقيطي وعبد العزيز بن ناصر بن رشيدوعبدالرحمن الإفريقي وغيرهم.
اتصل بـ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن باز فقرأ عليه في المسجد منصحيحالبخاري ومن رسائل ابن تيمية وانتفع منه في علم الحديث والنظر فيآراءفقهاء أهل السنة والجماعة والمقارنة بينها ويعتبر عبد العزيز بنبازمرجعه الثاني في التحصيل والتأثر به. تخرج من المعهد العلمي ثمتابعدراسته الجامعية انتساباً حتى نال الشهادة الجامعية من جامعةالإماممحمد بن سعود الإسلامية في الرياض. كما أنه كان أحدالمشاركينالرئيسيين في إذاعة القرآن الكريم السعودية وخصوصا في برنامجنور علىالدرب
