The Public Education Evaluation Commission(PEEC) was founded in 2013, pursuant to the resolution of theCouncil of Ministers, number 120 in 22/ 4/ 1434 AH, which specifiedits structure and tasks. The resolution stipulates that theCommission be a public organization with an independent corporatepersonality and that it will be responsible for the evaluation ofprivate and public schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.According to the resolution, the PEEC will report directly to thePrime Minister until the Higher Council of Education startsperforming its tasks, and will be run by the Governor of theCommission as head of the Board of Directors who are selected fromall educational bodies and authorities, including specialists andrepresentatives of the private sector.The PEEC represented by its Board of Directors, shares positiveinstitutional interaction with both public and private educationalbodies, and is responsible for issuing rules, regulations,licenses, and standards necessary for the evaluation processes inall different stages within the framework of its statute and otherrelevant regulations.
