3D motion anatomy teamLabBody
teamLabBody-3D Motion Human Anatomy- is the world's first 3DHumanAnatomy App to reproduce the arrangement and movement of alivinghuman. - Supported languages: English, Japanese Description:- Theworld's first to reproduce in animation the movements of thejointsin a living human body in 3D. See the forms and movements ofthe 3Dhuman skeleton from any angle and magnification. - Highlyaccurate3D anatomy model created from CT and MRI scan data. Seehighlyaccurate reproductions of muscles, ligaments, nerves, bloodvessels, and bones of the human body. 1000 diagrams of thehumanbody in total are covered. *Internal organs and brain arenotcovered. - Intuitively operate from Full Body View. You canfreelychoose any specific body part that you want to see, makingthismedical app easy to understand and useful for studying thehumananatomy and for explaining to patients. - Up to 1000detailedexplanations of human body parts. Search for names anddetailedexplanations of body parts and get the 3D visuals in aninstance.Backstory: Professor Kazuomi Sugamoto, from the laboratoryof"Orthopedic Biomaterial Science" of Osaka University, andhisresearch team created the world's first method foranalyzing3-dimensional movements of the joints of living people in1998.They discovered that the voluntary movements of a living humanbodydiffer from the involuntary movements observed in donor bodies.Formore than 10 years, the team has taken CT and MRI images of20-30living human, observed the arrangement and movement of everysinglejoint, analyzed the images with computer programs, andhasvisualized the muscles, nerves, blood vessels, bones, and jointsofthe human body. teamLabBody is useful for anybody withoccupationsrelated with the human body, such as medical and nursingstudents, orthopedists, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, bonesetters, andathletic trainers. - For gaining practicalknowledge of humananatomy and kinematics. With teamLabBody, theforms and movementsof a living human body can be seen in 3D withdetaileddescriptions, supporting your study on human anatomyandkinematics. - For treatment and surgical planning This medicalappis useful for orthopedists and physiotherapists duringtreatmentplanning. Not only muscles, the existence of importantnerveshidden behind muscles can also be found, making surgicalplanningeasier. This app can be used offline, making it usableduringsurgeries with appropriate cleaning process. - For explainingtopatients. Thousands of 3D models and descriptions willhelpmedical professionals, students, and all people with aninterest inthe human body. teamLabBody2020 offers you the 3D modelsbased onMRI imaging data, covering the entire body. Our app willhelpunderstand the structure of the human body intuitively. You canuseit as a reference, instead of an anatomy atlas. ■ Primaryfeatures・Ability to seamlessly dissect the human body You can takeahigh-level view of the whole body and observe the details oforgansintuitively. We adopted the Unity game engine for interactionandwon the Unity Award, a first for Japanese developers. ・Modelingoflive humans We analyzed MRI image data from multiple subjectsandcreated 3D models using data averaged from differing bonelengths, muscle sizes, and organ forms. ■ Primary awards UnityAwardsBestVizSim ■ Primary functions ・Changebetweenvisible/transparent/hidden options for all parts andcategories・Change between visible/hidden for all layers of thehuman body, starting from the outer surface ・Search body parts byname・Register your favorite body parts ■ New functions ・By addingtagsto each body part, you can instantly show whichever part youwant(up to 100 parts) ・You can use the paint function tocreateintuitive memos (up to 100) ・You can find parts you don’tknow thenames for by using the narrow down search function to findwhat youare looking for ■ Supported languages English / SimplifiedChinese/ Traditional Chinese / Japanese ■ teamLabBodyDevelopmentBackground The research team of Kazuomi Sugamoto, anorthopedicsprofessor of Orthopedic Biomaterial Science at OsakaUniversity, developed the world's first method to analyze themovements ofliving humans in 3D for the treatment of orthopedicailments in1998. They revealed the joint movements that people madebased ontheir own will were different from those of the cadaversused toinform traditional medical texts. They gathered 20-30researchcollaborators, and used CTs and MRIs to photograph theshapes andmovements of all joints in living humans over the courseof 10years, analyzed the still images using a computer program, andvisualized every muscle, nerve, blood vessel, bone, and jointinthe human body.
