This app is for purposes of memorization and review, and not fordeep comprehension or intonation of the Quran. This applicationuses the rapid serial visual presentation technique to display theQuran text in a continuous stream of words. The words appear at thesame fixed position in order to reduce eye movement during reading.This enables speed reading of the Quran, only for purposes ofmemorization and review, and not for deep comprehension orintonation. Speed reading is based on visual perception andelimination of subvocalization during reading. The words should berecognized using the eyes only, without vocal pronunciation or lipreading. Reducing eye movement also helps in improving the readingspeed. Therefore, it is advisable to maintain eye focus on the redcharacter inside each word while reading.
