Under the recommendation of HadhratMuftiMusa Badat D.B and other senior Ulama of Rabetah, amonthlynewsletter was created which was named Al-Islah(Rectification,Reformation and Purification) with the aim ofproviding guidance,support and advice for the local community onIslamic matters. Thefirst issue of Al-Islah newsletter waspublished in August 2003 andwas distributed for free in the localMasaajid in Batley, Dewsburyand Heckmondwike. In November 2003, thepages were increased from 4to 8 pages.2004 -Al-Islah Evolves into a Magazine In August 2004, Al-Islah becameamagazine due to the great interest and demand and was publishedforfree on a bi-monthly basis. Advertisements were added tothepublication to cover for the cost of printing andpublishing.2005 -Issue 17 saw an increase of pages and the magazine wasstructuredwith dedicated pages for women and children. Furthermore,Al-Islahbecame a full-coloured magazine as the demand andpopularity ofAl-Islah grew more widely. The local Ulama have alwaysbeen themain contributors of all the articles with the eminent andseniorUlama such as Hadhrat Mufti Badat Sb, Hadhrat Maulana AbdurRaufSb, Hadhrat Maulana Bodiyat Sb, Hadhrat Mufti Yusuf Sacha SbandHadhrat Mufti Zakariyyah Akudi Sb sharing their wealth ofknowledgeon topics such as Tarbiyyah, Tasawwuf, Aqa'id andFiqh.2009 -The pages were increased once again to 16 pages. The GrowthofAl-Islah We have a dedicated panel of Ulama at Rabetahresponsiblefor editing, designing and proof reading the articlesthat arewritten by the local Ulama and Aapaa.Present -Alhamdulillah, Al-Islah has grown rapidly and is now accessibleonthe internet through the Rabetah website (www.rabetah.org)whichincludes live up to date Mahr Faatimi and Nisaab ofZakaatinformation.
