Now celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the SalishSeaEcosystem Conference is the largest most comprehensive event ofitskind in the region. The purpose of the conference is toassemblescientists, First Nations and tribal governmentrepresentatives,resource managers, community and business leaders,policy makers,educators, and students to present the latestscientific researchon the state of the ecosystem, and to guidefuture actions forprotecting and restoring the Salish Seaecosystem. To accomplishits purpose, the conference featuresplenary sessions with keynotespeakers, concurrent sessionscomprised of oral and posterpresentations, workshops, frequentopportunities for informalnetworking, and special events. TheSalish Sea Ecosystem Conferenceis held every two years, rotatinglocations between Seattle,Washington, and Vancouver, BritishColumbia. This year’s conferencewill be held at the WashingtonState Convention Center in Seattle,WA, from April 4-6, 2018.
