Off the grid 1.2
Off the Grid is effectively a passwordmanagerthat will help you create different passwords fordifferentwebsites. Passwords are generated by simply typing in text- theprogram will use a Latin square (of Sudoku fame) to scan forthepassword using a specific pattern. The generated Latinsquare(grid) can be printed out and kept safe so that passwords canberetrieved without a device. This application is a tribute to GRC's work onpasswordgeneration using Latinsquares:https://www.grc.com/OffTheGrid.htmOTG (Off the Grid) is particularly useful for sharingpasswords. You can simply generate a grid and then scan in the QRcode on eachpersons device; they will then all be able to retrievethe passwordfor "example" by simply typing in "example".This password sharing could be useful for couples/colleagueswithvarious shared accounts orIT departments that need to access the same servers with thesamepassword. The following permissions are used:android.permission.CAMERA - this is to capture the QR codesforprevious grids.android.permission.INTERNET - this is used to collectinganalyticson usage of theapplication.android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - this isused totemporarily write an encrypted zip file to so it canbeemailed.android.permission.WAKE_LOCK - this is used to keep the screenonwhile the password is displayed. There is no master password, so it is advised that you alsohavea remote wipe tool and lock code for your device.Warning: this app should NOT be used if your device hasbeenrooted.
