情人節，送花之前，別忘了了解各種花的意思呢！為何母親節要送康乃馨？有沒有代表父親節的花？花語 (Language of flower)最早起源于古希臘，那個時候不止是花，葉子、果樹都有一定的含義。在希臘神話裡記載過愛神出生時創造了玫瑰的故事，玫瑰從那個時代起就成為了愛情的代名詞。【花語達人】收錄了各種花語，包括玫瑰、百合、康乃馨、鬱金香、薔薇花等十多種花語，同時亦包含了生日花語（1年365日每天均有代表的花)、生肖花語、花與節日的關係等。花的知識會定期更新，希望各用家能了解更多關於花的含義。

興建緣起:佛光山於1983年在香港創辦佛香精舍，隨著本港信徒求法日多，各類弘法活動亦日益増加，乃於1991年在窩打老道設立佛香講堂，並展開文教、慈善及淨化人心的工作。為擴大對信眾的服務，2010年於九龍灣億京中心設立香港佛光道場，新道場提供更全面的服務，如：大殿、齋堂、美術館、滴水坊、會議室、圖書館、錄音室、兒童室、教室、禪堂等，讓身處於紛擾社會的香港大眾，能有一處具文化、休閒、學習、靜心等多元安心之處。香港佛光道場 - 四大宗旨佛光教團提倡人間佛教，致力宣揚佛法與生活的融和，今日的佛光教團，是由許多默默耕耘的佛光人所凝而成，上承佛陀的真理妙諦，中循歷代祖師的遺風德範，下啟萬代子孫的幸福安樂。佛光教團以悲智願行的菩薩精神，為佛光人組織的架構；以慈悲濟世的願心從事文化教育，為佛光人實踐的內容；以群的關係的調和，為佛光人思想的基礎；以散播人間歡喜，為佛光人修持的法門。佛光人均矢志發揚此佛光精神，俾能達到光大佛教，普利群倫的目的。以文化弘揚佛法香港佛光道場的文化事業有佛光緣書局、佛教文物流通處、佛光緣美術館、佛香數位網路電台、佛光世紀等，透過出版雜誌，提供書畫、錄影（音）帶、唱片、影（音）光碟等，肩負起為大眾傳播法音的責任。以教育培養人材為實踐大師提倡「人間佛教」的理念，佛光山於海內外創辦了十多所佛教學院，延聘優質教育，培育出數僧俗二眾弘法人才，香港佛教學院也是其中之一。除僧伽教育外，道場亦致力於各項社會教育，如都市佛學院，定期舉辦佛學修持課程，為有意進修的社會人士提供以佛學為主的學習、修行機會，同時開設兒童班、青少年班、佛港佛光青年團、婦女法座、金剛護法會、長青會等，為不同年齡的信眾提供各適其式的佛學及興趣課程，藉此讓佛法普及社會並提升佛教徒的生活品質。以慈善福利社會本著佛陀「無緣大慈，同體大悲」慈善濟世的本懷，成立「慈善委員會」，執行各項慈善救助工作，提供各項免費服務，包括羅陳楚思老人中心千餘位會員的服務、協助弱能人士的展能服務、探訪獨居長者、急難救助、豐衣足食送米給有需要人士、溫飽滿人間、愛心送暖、端陽送粽、中秋送月餅、粵曲敬老晚會等服務及活動。國內組則先後在雲貴地區興建了多所愛心希望小學，如青林、葉若平、民山及威寧等，又設立助學基金和獎勵老師計劃。慈善委員會亦參與其他地區急難救助工作，包括南亞海嘯、廣西平山縣地震、湖南雪災、四川地震等物資發放工作。以共修淨化人心定期法會包括每週六晚上與佛光山全世界派下道場同時舉行的念佛共修法會、月份法會（大悲懺法會、報恩慶生法會、光明燈法會）；年度法會活動包括：新春禮千佛及供佛齋天、清明水懺、觀音誕、浴佛節、孝道月、藥師法會、彌陀佛七等；更不定期舉辦八關齋戒及一日禪等修持活動，以如法如儀的莊嚴佛事，帶領信眾禮懺修持，以祈消災免難、淨化身心，乃至荐拔各姓宗親及無祭祀孤魂，使冥陽兩利。
