The PetLink Pro app is for US Animal Professionals (ACOs andShelterstaff) to use in the field. When Animal Professionals finda lostpet, they can use PetLink Pro on their phones to look upownerdetails via the pet’s microchip number and submit a found petreportto PetLink. PetLink will contact the owner to let them knowtheirpet has been found and set up reunification. You can putthemicrochip number into PetLink Pro on your phone by keypad orspeakthe number in. You can also use the camera to capture themicrochipnumber from the LCD display of a microchip reader. Usingthe cameramakes it much faster to transfer the 9- or 15-digitmicrochipnumber from the chip reader to the search function ofPetLink. Italso reduces typing errors. PetLink Pro will search forownerdetails first in PetLink, then in PetLink’s Backtrack systemandfinally in the AAHA Pet microchip look up tool. PetLink Prowillhelp save the lives of lost animals.
