Dama is a Checkers game, also known asdraughts, straight checkers or damka, and is a form of draughtsboard game.Unlike international draughts, it is played on an 8 by 8 squaredboard with 12 pieces on each side. The pieces (buttons) move andcapture diagonally. They may only move forward until they reach theopposite end of the board when they become king (crowned) and mayhenceforth move and capture both backward and forward.Your buttons are green, and the phone, your opponent has a blackones. You take turns moving your pieces. The pieces can only bemoved diagonally from one square to another. When a player jumpsover their opponent's piece, that piece is removed from theboard.Kings - If a player's piece moves into the kings row on theopposing player's side of the board, that piece is said to becrowned (or often kinged), becoming a king. King can diagonallymove in any direction, when ordinary pieces can only moveforward.The game goal is to take all the pieces of your opponent.
