淡江大學海事博物館位於淡江大學美麗的校園內，是一棟建地 2,134 平方公尺的船型建築。海事博物館的前身為「商船學館」，是淡江大學專門培育航海、輪機科技人材的搖籃，由長榮集團總裁張榮發先生捐資興建，並捐贈各項有關航海、輪機之教學設備，後因國家教育政策的變更，奉令停止招收航海、輪機的學生，俟78 年歡送最後一屆學生後，擘劃興建全國首座「海事博物館」，於 79 年 6 月 6 日開館，免費供各界參觀，繼續為推動海事教育而努力，並將教育的觸角由學校延伸到社會。　　海事博物館展示 古今中外各類的船艦模型， 從十五至十七世紀的大航海時代到未來超導體電磁推進的各國船隻模型近六十餘艘；本館中所有的船隻模型，皆照原船結構比例縮小，以手工製作、打造，細緻而真實，艘艘具有特色，各有緣由，值得您慢慢的觀賞，仔細的玩味。淡江大學海事博物館是一處兼具教育與知性的寶庫，一趟海事博物館之旅，定能豐富您的生活！關鍵字查詢：健中資訊, realtouchapp,策展系統,策展平台
