○ RULES ○
Draughts (or checkers) is played by two opponents, on oppositesidesof the board. One player has the blue pieces; the other hasthe redpieces. Players alternate turns. A player can only moveyour ownpiece. A move consists of moving a piece diagonally to anadjacentunoccupied square. If the adjacent square contains anopponent'spiece, and the square immediately beyond it is vacant,the piece maybe captured (and removed from the game) by jumpingover it.

Only the dark squares of the checkered board are used. A piecemaymove only diagonally into an unoccupied square. Capturingismandatory in most official rules, although some rulevariationsmake capturing optional when presented. In almost allvariants, theplayer without pieces remaining, or who cannot movedue to beingblocked, loses the game.
