Description

With stroke-order independent handwritingrecognition, 320k+ example sentences, 200k+ words and 6k+ Kanjidatabase!

Akebi allows you to use character masks to filter out thousands ofwords from a large Japanese Dictionary. It allows you to specifywhat radicals appear in each character of the word, and setparticular characters. Using this, you can find extremely specificwords without a lot of Japanese knowledge.
Akebi is designed to allow fast searching, and as such, the wordcan be specified by last letter, first letter or any letter inbetween.

NOTE ABOUT THE INTERNET PERMISSION:
I hope this doesn't scare you off downloading Akebi: It is fullyavailable offline, but the dictionary needs to be downloaded first.If you choose to allow it, Akebi will also send a small bit ofanalytical data back to me so I can find out which features aremost used (It absolutely will not send anything if you disableit.).

Some of the features include:

- Word lists
These allow you to add any word you're searching for to a list withjust one press. The next time this word fits a mask you'researching for, it appears in red at the top of all possible words,to make it easy to find in case you forget. It's also good forwords that the dictionary doesn't have, like names specific to whatyou're doing. You can even test yourself on these words too using aflashcard test! If you want, you can export them to a text file foruse elsewhere as well.

- Radical search
Specify which characters of the word contain what radicals. Wordsthat don't fit this will be filtered out.

- Inbuilt Japanese Keyboard
You don't even need to swap keyboards to use Akebi. You just jumpin and start typing. But, if you prefer, you can turn this featureoff if it causes issues with your keyboard, or if you just want touse your normal keyboard! You can even pick Akebi'skeyboard/handwriting recognition as your input method!

- Kanji descriptions
Find out how common a character is, what grade level it is, what itmeans, how to read it, its Unicode number, how many strokes are init, its reference numbers (Heisig, Nelson...), a stroke orderdiagram for it, a decomposition of it, all the words that containit...

- English to Japanese searching
Search with English as well!

- Handwriting recognition
Akebi has custom built handwriting recognition - and stroke orderdoesn't matter! Find that complex kanji quickly thanks to the"Tomoe" handwriting database!

- Example sentences
Akebi has 320,000+ example sentences: search for any word and findout how to use it in a sentence! Tap the sentence for furtherinformation: including each word in the sentence's definition andreading.

- Kanji test
Test yourself on any kanji you want! Create sets and testyourself!

- Deconjugation
Search for 言って and you'll get results for 言う. Works for other formstoo, such as ます, ない, た, られる/Potential form.

- Animated stroke order diagrams

How to Install the OBB File (APK Expansion File)

  1. Firstly, Download APK file of the app Akebi Japanese Dictionary 3.0.15 for Android.
