The AIAA Aerospace Design Engineers Guide (ADEG) is anauthoritativeresource for use by aerospace students andprofessionals duringdesign inception and development. Now in itsfirst electronicedition, the ADEG app provides quick, convenienteveryday referencefrom your mobile device. Its role is to serve asaspecialized-purpose, in-field tool used by design engineerstoperform back-of-the-envelope/rough-order-of-magnitude estimatesandcalculations for early preliminary and conceptual aerospacedesign.The ADEG app is not intended to be relied upon for producinghighlydetailed production designs, although some of the design datamaybe suitable for the designer’s objectives. HOW TO USE THISAPPNOTES The app allows users to create and save notes. To createanote, tap and hold over a specific word or sentence (must betext).A pop-up menu will appear. Choose “Add Notes” to add a note.Toretrieve or update an existing note, go to the Notes section ontheapp’s homepage. Choose the specific category and tap on the“Notes”icon that appears with the associated text to read/update.Noteswill not work when trying to apply a note to an image. Imagescanbe tables, formulas or graphs. BOOKMARKS The app allows youtobookmark specific pages. To bookmark a page, tap the star iconatthe top of that page. To retrieve bookmarked pages, go totheBookmark section on the app’s homepage. IMAGES Images(tables,graphs and formulas) can be magnified by tapping on theimage (anew window will open) and using Apple’spinch-to-zoomfunctionality.
