Description

Wear devices are great, but they all seem tohave one major thing in common: poor battery life.

Notice: Moto 360 devices are known to have some issues. v2 isknown to perform much better than v1. If you have a Moto 360 andhave any issues, please make a point of reporting them by sendingan email.

This app works by turning on and off the Bluetooth radioautomatically, and is highly configurable.

Features:
• Saves your Wear battery by periodically turning off theBluetooth
• Aligned with the Android Wear connection cycle, allowing accuratetiming
• Can turn the Bluetooth on when the screen is turned on (this cantake up to a minute depending on your settings)
• Track the battery and connection times on your mobile with themobile-side app
• Keep the Bluetooth on or off when you need to, overriding theautomatic cycle
• See your Bluetooth state without opening the app with theBluetooth widget
• Get estimates of your remaining battery life for your Weardevice
• See the last time your Wear was connected on a map

Notes:
• The Bluetooth widget can be moved just by dragging it
• Long-pressing the Bluetooth widget will prompt you to disableit
• Tapping the Bluetooth widget will prompt to toggle the Bluetoothstate
• Double-tapping the Bluetooth widget will take you to theapp
• Connections can sometimes take up to 256 seconds; this is out ofour control and is a limitation in the Android Wear protocol. It isespecially pronounced on the Moto 360. FAQ:
Q: Why doesn't the Bluetooth ever change?
A: You may not have activated the Battery Saver. Start it on yourWear, either by saying "Ok Google, start Battery Saver", ormanually starting it from the Start menu. It'll prompt you if youwant to enable it. Say Yes. You'll then need to set a plan in theSettings.

Q: Why is the connection graph so irregular on the Moto360?
A: Due to some hardware problems on the Moto 360, the Bluetoothradio can take a few seconds to turn on. As there is only a 5second window in Wear for the connection to succeed, this can causethe wearable to miss a cycle and take longer to connect. (This canhappen on the Gear Live and other watches as well, but israrer.)

Q: Why does my Moto behave so strangely when it'scharging?
A: The Moto's inductive charger interrupts the Bluetooth radio, much like a microwave would mess up your Wi-Fi. This is a hardwareproblem and is outside of our control.

Q: I found a bug! How do I report it?
A: Send us an email to [email protected]with any relevant details and a description of the problem. Makesure to include 'Battery Saver' in your message subject!

Q: I uninstalled the app but it's still on my Wear, even afterresetting! Why?
A: Android Wear is caching the app. Go to Settings, openApplications, Apps, or Application manager, go to All, scroll to'Google Play services' and tap it. Then go to 'Manage storage',then hit 'Manage wearable storage' and press 'Clear now'. Then goto Android Wear, press the gears in the top-right, and choose'Resync apps'. The app should be gone. If not, email us a bugreport including any relevant information and a logcat.

Q: Ugh! This app sucks!
A: That's not a question... but, please remember we're people toowhen submitting a review. If you have an issue, please send us abug report before you leave a negative review. We're committed tomaking this app as awesome as we can and we need your help to dothat. Also, please try the new v2 branch if you've already used v1- it's a lot better.
