TBI prognosis is an interactive calculator to estimate mortality at14 days and death and severe disability at six months in patientswith traumatic brain injury (TBI). The predictions are based on theaverage outcome in adult patients with Glasgow coma score of 14 orless, within 8 hours of injury. The mathematical model used in thisapplication was published in 2008 (BMJ 2008;336:425) and wasconceived using data from the CRASH study (The Lancet, Volume 364,Issue 9442, Pages 1321 - 1328, 9 October 2004). This application isintended for medical professionals involved in the management ofpatients with traumatic brain injuries. Use of this applicationrequires medical training and can only support - not replace -clinical judgment. This application is not intended for patients ortheir relatives.
