“DigitalHadith" merupakan satu aplikasi yang dihasilkan dariprojekpenyelidikan Universiti Malaya yang dibiayai oleh UMRG(UniversityMalaya Research Grant): RP003B-14HNE yang bertajuk“Preserving TheAuthenticity of The Digital Hadith" atauditerjemahkan sebagai“Memelihara Autentisiti Hadith Digital".Projek ini dimulakan padaJulai 2014 yang juga merupakan salah satudari projek utama yangbertajuk “Preserving the Authenticity of theDigital Quran &Hadith". Tujuan utama projek penyelidikanDigitalHadith ini ialahuntuk memaparkan Hadith yang autentik yangberasaskan tema atautopik tertentu dari aspek teks atau nass,terjemahan, visual sanadHadith atau rangkaian perawi Hadith,keterangan fiqh Hadith sertateks-teks Hadith palsu yang terpilih.Sebagai satu permulaan bagimembina aplikasi baru DigitalHadith,maka tema atau topik “ilmu”telah dipilih sebagai topik pertama bagipengisian data yangbersumberkan kepada kitab-kitab utama Hadithyang dikenali sebagaial-Kutub al-Sittah. Dari aspek autentikterjemahanteks Hadith, banyak buku-buku terjemahan teks Hadithdalam BahasaMelayu dan Bahasa Indonesia yang dirujuki dan ditelitisemuladengan kitab-kitab Sharh al-Hadith yang berkaitandengankitab-kitab di dalam al-Kutub al-Sittah. Manakaladari aspek Fiqh al-Hadith atau pengajaran dariteks Hadith,beberapa kitab Sharh al-Hadith telah dirujuki. Kemudiandilakukanproses terjemahan dalam bentuk ringkasan dan diedit lagibagidipaparkan terjemahan yang autentik dan mudah difahamikhususnya didalam Bahasa Melayu. Peringkat membina aplikasi andriodpulamerupakan proses yang agak rumit dan memakan masa hampirsetahundengan pihak pembangun aplikasi. Justeru gabunganmetodeperpustakaan yang melibatkan analisis data dan metodeteknikal bagimerekacipta satu aplikasi andriod khusus di peringkatawal inimerupakan proses penyelidikan dan pembangunan (R&D)yang cukupbermakna bagi kumpulan penyelidik HadithDigital. Bagimelangkapkanpaparan aplikasi ini dengan teks dan huraian Hadithbertemakan ilmuyang autentik, maka dipaparkan juga Hadith palsuatau Mawdu'sebanyak 154 teks dengan 67 bab atau topik khusus yangberkaitandengan ilmu. Sehubungan dengan itu, aplikasi DigitalHadithini akanterus dikemaskini dari aspek kandungan dan paparannya bagitujuanpenambahbaikan berterusan dari pihak kumpulanpenyelidikHadithDigital yang diketuai oleh Prof Madya Dr IshakSuliaman.Projek ini memerlukan sokongan yang berterusan daripencinta ilmupengetahuan khususnya yang bersumberkan al-Quran danSunnah NabiMuhammad s.a.w.
