La aplicación de Ecocardioscopia que presentamos pretende ser unaherramienta capaz de orientar al clínico que se enfrente a lasospecha de patología funcional o estructural del corazón, yfacilitar el diagnóstico precoz, manejo, adecuada derivación yseguimiento de alteraciones cardíacas como la hipertrofia deventrículo izquierdo, la insuficiencia cardíaca, valvulopatías,derrame pleural, etcétera. Hemos tratado de desarrollar unaaplicación ágil y eficiente, que con un mínimo de medios ofrezca unmáximo de información útil. El profesional ha de disponer de unequipo de ecografía y de un entrenamiento básico en la técnica deinterpretación de imagen cardíaca. Ambas condiciones tienden aalcanzarse, cada vez en mayor medida, en la mayoría de los ámbitosde trabajo, teniendo especial interés para la atención primaria,donde el nivel de incertidumbre con el que se trabaja es mayor.
