Baglamukhi Chalisa 1.0 APK

"Bagalamukhi" is derived from "Bagala"(distortion of the original Sanskrit root "valgā") and "mukha",meaning "bridle" and "face", respectively. Thus, the name means onewhose face has the power to capture or control. She thus representsthe hypnotic power of the Goddess.[1] Another interpretationtranslates her name as “crane faced”.Bagalamukhi has a golden complexion and her dress is yellow. Shesits in a golden throne in the midst of an ocean of nectar full ofyellow lotuses. A crescent moon adorns her head. Two descriptionsof the goddess are found in various texts- The Dwi-Bhuja (twohanded), and the Chaturbhuja (Four handed). The Dwi-Bhuja depiction is the more common, and is described asthe Soumya or milder form. She holds a club in her right hand withwhich she beats a demon, while pulling his tongue out with her lefthand. This image is sometimes interpreted as an exhibition ofstambhana, the power to stun or paralyse an enemy into silence. This is one of the boons for which Bagalamukhi’s devotees worshipher. Other Mahavidya goddesses are also said to represent similarpowers useful for defeating enemies, to be invoked by theirworshippers through various rituals.Bagalamukhi is also called Pitambaradevi or Brahmastra Roopiniand she turns each thing into its opposite. She turns speech intosilence, knowledge into ignorance, power into impotence, defeatinto victory. She represents the knowledge whereby each thing mustin time become its opposite. As the still point between dualitiesshe allows us to master them. To see the failure hidden in success, the death hidden in life, or the joy hidden in sorrow are ways ofcontacting her reality. Bagalamukhi is the secret presence of theopposite wherein each thing is dissolved back into the Unborn andthe Uncreated.******************************************Mantra*************************************************************Om hlreem baglamukhi sarvadustanaam vacham mukham padamstambhaya jihvaam keelaya budheem vinashaya hlreem om swaha

Once, some rishis headed by Kasyapa began toperform a sacrifice on the banks of the Ganges. Sage Narada visitedthem and asked them why they were performing the sacrifice and whowould be pleased by it.The rishis approached Sage Bhrigu, whoaccording to the Vedas, is believed to have an extra eye in thesole of his foot. At Satyaloka, he found Lord Brahma , with each ofhis four heads, and attended upon by Saraswati. Lord Brahma did nottake notice of Bhrigu offering obeisance.Finding that Lord Vishnu also did not notice him, the sage wasinfuriated and kicked the Lord on His chest. Vishnu, in an attemptto pacify the sage, got hold of the legs of the sage and started topress them gently in a way that was comforting to the sage.Hesqueezed the extra eye that was present in the sole of Bhrigu'sfoot.Taking pity on Lord Vishnu, Brahma and Maheshwara decided to assumethe forms of a cow and its calf to serve Him. Surya, the Sun god, informed Mahalakshmi of this and requested her to assume the formof a cowherdess and sell the cow and calf to king.At the palace, the cow was not yielding any milk, for which the Chola Queenchastised the cow herder severely. Angered by the conduct of thecow, the cow herder aimed a blow with his axe on the head of thecow.Lord Vishnu rose from the ant-hill to receive the blow and savethe cow.The cow returned to the Chola King, found the cow herder lying deadon the ground near the ant-hill. Lord Vishnu rose from the ant-hilland cursed the king saying that he would become an Asura because ofthe fault of his servant. The king pleaded innocence, and the Lordblessed him that he will be reborn as Akasa Raja and that the cursewould end when the Lord will be adorned with a crown presented byAkasa Raja at the time of his marriage with Padmavati. With thesewords, the Lord turned into stone.Thereafter, Lord Vishnu decided to stay in Varaha Kshetra andrequested Sri Varaha swami to grant his a site . Srinivasa ordainedthat a pilgrimage to his shrine would not be complete unless it ispreceded by a bath in the Pushkarini and darshan of Sri Varahaswami and that pooja and naivedya.A King named Akasa Raja came to rule over Tondamandalam. AkashaRaja had no heirs, and therefore, he wanted to perform asacrifice. He was ploughing the fields when his plough turned up alotus in the ground. On examining the lotus, the King found afemale child in it. At that time he heard an aerial voice whichsaid "O King, tend it as your child and fortune will befall you".As she was found in a lotus, the king named her Padmavati. She grewup as a princess into a beautiful maiden and was attended by a hostof maids. One day, Lord Srinivasa, who was hunting, chased a wild elephant inthe forests surrounding the hills. In the elephant's pursuit, theLord was led into a garden, where Princess Padmavati and her maidswere picking flowers. The sight of the elephant frightened thePrincess and her maids. Lord Srinivasa, who was following on horseback, saw the frightened maidens, but was repulsed with stonesthrown at Him by the maids. He returned to the hills in haste, leaving His horse behind. The Lord then narrated the story of Padmavati’s previous birth andHis promise to marry her. After listening to Srinivasa's story ofhow he had promised to marry Vedavati in her next birth asPadmavati, Vakula Devi realized that Srinivasa would not be happyunless He married her. She offered to go to Akasha Raja and hisqueen and arrange for the marriage. On the way she met the maids ofPadmavati returning from a Shiva Temple.Meanwhile, Akasa Raja and his Queen Dharanidevi were anxious aboutthe health of their daughter, Padmavati. They learnt aboutPadmavati's love for Srinivasa of Venkata Hill. Akasa Rajaconsulted Brihaspati about the marriage and was informed that themarriage was in the best interest of both the parties. Kubera lentmoney to Lord Srinivasa to meet the expenses of the marriage.
