The Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery(JNIS) is a leading peer review journal for scientific research andliterature pertaining to the field of neurointerventional surgery.The journal launch in 2009 followed growing professional interestin neurointerventional techniques for the treatment of a range ofneurological and neurovascular problems including stroke,aneurysms, vascular malformations, brain tumors, head and neckdisorders, and spinal disease. Neurointerventional surgery deployspercutaneous techniques for intravascular, spinal, or directpuncture procedures, which minimize pain and the risk ofcomplications, and enhance the speed of recovery.

JNIS is published by BMJ on behalf of the Society ofNeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS). It is also the official journalof the Interventional Chapter of the Australian and New ZealandSociety of Neuroradiology (ANZSNR), the Canadian InterventionalNeuro Group, the Hong Kong Neurological Society (HKNS), and theNeuroradiological Society of Taiwan.
