Mandi, formerly known as MandavNagar,[3][4]also known as Sahor (Tibetan: Zahor),[5] is a majortown and amunicipal council in Mandi District in the Indian stateof HimachalPradesh. It is situated 153 kilometres (95 mi) north ofstatecapital, Shimla.[6] Located in the north-west Himalayas atanaverage altitude of 850 metres (2,790 ft),[7] the city ofMandi,experiences pleasant summers and cold winters. Mandi isconnectedto the Pathankot through National Highway 20 which isalmost 220km(140 mi) long and to Manali and Chandigarh throughNationalHighway 21 which is 323 km(201 mi) long. Mandi isapproximately184.6 km (114.7 mi) from Chandigarh,[8] the nearestmajor city, and440.9 km (273.9 mi) from New Delhi,[9] the nationalcapital.According to the 2011 Indian census, Mandi city has apopulation of26,422.[1] Mandi district is currently the 2nd largesteconomy inthe state next to Kangra. Munger (Angika and Hindi:मुंगेर) is a twincityand a Municipal Corporation situated in the Indian stateofBihar.[2] It is the administrative headquarters of Mungerdistrictand Munger Division. It is the fifth largest city of Biharandsecond largest city in Eastern Bihar.Historically, Munger is known for being an ancient seat of rule.Thetwin city comprises Munger and Jamalpur situated on thesouthernbank of the river Ganges.[3] It is situated 60 km west ofBhagalpur,and 180 km east of capital city Patna.

It lies 70 kilometres (43 mi) north westof NewDelhi, just 40–45 km from Delhi Border and 250 kilometres(160 mi)south of the state capital Chandigarh on NH 10.
