In OS 10, inverting colors andimplementinggrayscale have all been consolidated under DisplayAccommodationsin Accessibility, and Blue Light Filter OS10 hasadded the abilityto activate color filters like night mode to helppeople with evenmore types of color blindness.

Activating these filters from Color Tint is as easy as flippingaswitch, so here we go!

Note: Display Accommodations are only available for Phone 5sandlater. For all models before, you'll see a switch toenablegrayscale and a switch to invert colors.

Inverting colors makes the Phone 7 screen easier on the eyesforpeople that are sensitive to brightness and helps make objectsalittle easier to see for some people with color blindness andlowvision.

When enabled, Color Filters from Color tint can help thosewithcolor blindness get the most out of their Phone 7s. Therearespecific filters for specific types of color blindness.

Color Tint is quite different than Night Shift mode, as itturnsyour entire screen red. Night Shift tries to help you get tosleepeasier by cancelling out blue light frequencies, resulting inanorange hue. Color Tint, on the other hand, overlays yourentirescreen with a pure red filter, which has its own setofbenefits.

Red light is harder to see than other light frequencies, soittricks our eyes into thinking it's less bright than NightShiftreally is. This means that you can look at a red screen in adarkroom, and your dilated pupils won't have to adjust as much tothelight. Additionally, when you look away from the red screen,youreyes will adjust much quicker back to the darkness aroundyou.

Blue light filter is used to reduce blue light by adjustingthescreen to natural color. Shift your screen to night modecanrelieve your eyes strain, and your eyes will feel ease duringnightreading. Also blue light filter will protect your eyes andhelp yousleep easily.
