Enteringthe"hard facts" about the course (name/num of holes, hole data)iseasy, to enter location reference data (for the GPSrangefinder)you can use Google maps to find the latitude/longitudevaluesneeded. This is a slightly more time-consuming process. Toget thefeel for the application before investing this amount oftime, youcan download the template course file from the developerweb site.As that is a complete and working course definition youcan thenimport it, and run a simulated round on it. Select it forplaying, enter one or more players as new players, and try it out.If youare sitting close to a window you can even start the GPS, andtrythe range finder (the distances measured will be to the greensofthis Swedish course). You can add new references, and maybemovearound a little to measure the distance to these. If you liketheapp after this exercise, you can then invest in entering thedatafor your course, and then go for a real round of discgolf.

There is also a free version on the Market, DS_Lite, that
contains the same functionality, but with two constraints -
max two players, and a limitation on the number of times
results can be exported. For more info, go to DS_Lite.
This application only requires access to the GPS service, itdoesnot require access to services that may induce costs, likeaccessto internet, or telephony services.

CS-Lite 1.5 APK
UBVASA
Do you sometimes end up in situations whereyouare about to use your phone, but find that it does not haveenough(or any) power left?If that is the case then CS-Lite is the app you want foravoidingit. The novel functionality of this utility app is that you tell theappabout time periods that are convenient for you to charge thephone, then the app will alert you to start charging at thelatestconvenient period before the battery goes empty. You can e. g. tell it that Monday through Friday between20.00and 22.00 suits you (e.g. if you are normally at home thattime),and you will be reminded slightly after 20.00 the day whenthebattery will not last until the same time the next day.The app, which runs as a background service, wakes up onceanhour. It then looks at the battery level, and yourpreferredcharging time periods. From this it then calculates whichit thinksis the last such time period before the battery goesempty, andwhen this time period occurs, it starts to alert you thatyou needto charge the battery. It will generate a new notificationeveryten minutes during this period, unless you start to charge, ordisable the alarm. It also saves the battery levels, so it learns about yourbatteryconsumption pattern, and uses that to make an educated guessonwhen the battery runs empty. If the battery runs empty, oryoureboot your phone, the app will reinstall automaticallyandcontinue its service.A detailed usage description is available from within the app, andyou also find this on the developer home page:https://sites.google.com/site/ubvasa/CS-Lite is the free version of Charging Servant. It hasthelimitation that time periods can only be defined for theweekdayperiod Monday through Friday. To be able to define differenttimeperiods for different weekdays, upgrade to the fullversionCharging Servant.Follow the advices of CS-Lite/Charging Servant, and yourphonebattery will never run empty again!Tags: battery, battery life, battery charging, batteryremainingtime.
