LorenGPS - Track your outdoor adventures with GPS 3.1.0
This app allows you to explore maps, see "tracks" on the map(atrack is a route made previously, recorded with a GPS), andofcourse to record a "track" of the route we are doing whileusingthe app. We can "follow a track", seeing it drawn on the mapbehindthe track we are recording. After finishing our tracks theappallows to save them into files. To do this the app uses theGPXfile format, probably the most standard among the multipleGPSapps... The app also offers options to generate a cool image asasummary of the route, including the track drawn over the map,theelevation profile graph and its most relevant data (distance,time,elevation gain, ...). These images can be saved into thedevice andalso shared through other applications (eg send by Email,post onsocial networks, ...) Since the second version of the app wehavethe "Public Tracks" option: Now we can also publish our tracks,sothat any other user can easily view and download our routes. Wecanalso explore and download routes published by other people.PublicTracks contain a classification (type of activity anddifficulty),detailed description and pictures optionally. Allpublic tracks caneasily be shared with universal links, which willbe seen both onthe app (if we have it installed) and on the web(otherwise). Italso allows to work with Waypoints: location markerswith(latitude, longitude) and optional data (name,description,altitude). The waypoints can be saved included in thetrack file orin standalone files, which can be saved and loadedanytime. Withthe third version of the app important new featuresare added:"Edit Track" (multiple options to edit or modify tracksmanually:delete/add points, waypoints, join tracks, reset times,getheights, ...), "Offline Maps" (support for creating andusingoffline maps: self-georeferenced images with overlapping QRcodes.Now the resulting image of a route -with the track painted onthemap- can also be used as an offline map), "Rutometer" (optiontoshow a table with the distances and times of passage foreachWaypoint included in a track; exportable to Excel/CSV file),andnew features to facilitate the loading of tracks and sharetracksin different ways (Email, ...) This application has twoversions,the app itself (installable from the app store) and theweb version(https://www.wandapps.com/lorengps). The main differenceis thatthe web version (thinked for use in the computer, at home)does notallow to record tracks, but it does facilitate a verycomfortablevisualization in order to "plan the routes" (beforegoing to thesmartphone...) as well as (after finishing the routes)viewing themand downloading to the computer. To facilitate this,everyregistered user will have a "personal cloud", that means aprivatefolder in the app's server that can be used to transfertrack filesbetween the computer and the smartphone.
